Political Tsunami: District Council Election Forecast 2003
Of interest in this survey, which was conduct by the Hong Kong Transition Project in November 2003, includes finding public dissatisfaction towards the job performance of the Hong Kong government at a 10 year high of 75 percent. In terms of political parties, only 26 percent of those surveyed are satisfied with the DAB’s performance, while 53 percent are satisfied with the Democratic Party.

The Building Democracy Series
In 2003, Civic Exchange published a book of essays by leading Hong Kong scholars and experts for the Enhancing Democratic Participation Project. The book, titled Building Democracy: Creating Good Government for Hong Kong, received a warm welcome from intellectuals, activists, and community members, and is now required reading for Hong Kong University and City University undergraduates. In order to make the contents more accessible to the general public, the book’s 12 chapters were converted into individual pamphlets for distribution.
