Air, Energy and Climate
Air
Civic Exchange has been working on a range of air pollution related research projects, many of which have been groundbreaking. Our understanding of and capacity to work on air quality issues have strengthened as we continue to extend our local and international network of research collaborators. We work closely with Hong Kong's scientific and public health expert community both to understand their work and to highlight the technical aspects of public policy issues to a broader audience.
Energy
The increasing international and local awareness of the impact of energy production and consumption on air quality and climate change continues to focus our energy related research.
Energy Forums
In addition to research we also organise forums that bring together key stakeholders to discuss energy, air quality and climate change related issues in both Hong Kong and Guangdong
Climate
Civic Exchange's groundbreaking research into the potential impact of climate change on the Pearl River Delta region drives our interest in issues such as emissions trading, energy efficiency and alternative uses of energy. We are expanding this focus to a regional perspective of Asia, as evidenced by our recent collaborative work with the Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA). Civic Exchange is also involved in global climate change issues through Christine Loh's role as an International Adviser to the G8+5 Climate Change Dialogue and C40 Climate Change Leadership group.
