The “Transport for All” teaching pack was released in June 2006. It is a collaborated effort with the Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth, and supported by a working group that consists of a host of rehabilitation organizations (see below) and the Transport Department. The teaching pack was designed for upper primary classes (P4 to P6) to introduce and promote the concept of “Transport for All”, as well as to foster among students a caring, helpful and understanding attitude towards people with special needs.
Along with the teaching pack, we have also launched a school engagement programme for the school year 2006/07. The programme includes teacher’s workshops and school visits to complement classroom teaching. This year, ten primary schools have joined the programme.
A complimentary copy of the teaching pack was sent to every primary school in summer 2006. The pack comprises a lesson design booklet, a set of photo cards, and the “Transport for All” pamphlet. Extra copies of the teaching pack can be downloaded under Downloads section below.
