Civic Exchange’s response to the Audit Commission’s recent report

(14 November 2012) - Civic Exchange welcomed the Audit Commission’s “Report No.59″ particularly those chapters that point out how the Government has failed in improving air quality, and urged the new administration to take public health as an important consideration in its future air quality management strategies and plans. BAQ 2012 in Hong Kong

(5-7 December 2012) - The Better Air Quality (BAQ) conference is the leading event on air quality in Asia, and it is coming back to Hong Kong this year to celebrate its 10th Anniversary. BAQ 2012 is co-organized by CAI-Asia, Hong Kong EPD, and Hong Kong PolyU. As a supporting organization, Civic Exchange will co-host a pre-event on the health impact of poor air quality (3-Dec), breakout sessions on the Hedley Environmental Index (5-Dec), ship and port emissions (6-Dec) and walkability (6-Dec), and will participate in a clean air panel (6-Dec). Symposium for Educational Equity in Higher Education :
Recruiting and Supporting Students with Disabilities

(15 November 2012) - Organised by Department of Education Policy and Leadership, the Hong Kong Institute of Education, and the Hong Kong Association for Specific Learning Disabilities, this symposium provided a platform for dialogue amongst stakeholders such as academics, professionals, advocates, parents, and students in hopes of increasing the higher education community’s awareness of and role in bringing educational equity.
